As co-founder of MEDICOM Solutions, Prabhu pioneered the adaptation of industry standard open architecture and HCI standards in the development of a comprehensive, integrated and modular Hospital Information System which was widely deployed in India, S.E. Asia, Middle East and South Africa; and subsequently worked closely with the Board and Executive Management in the culmination of M&A with IBA Health and iSOFT Health.
In his 25 plus years with the healthcare and insurance industry, Prabhu has provided his leadership in multiple areas – product evolution strategy, overseeing product council to research into advancements in health care delivery process, customer information requirements, changing IT trends, and HCI standards; product positioning and brand building activity thru’ active participation in industry seminars and standards development committees; engagement with top management of customers in defining their technology vision and roadmap, and steered & mentored the customers to enable them to realize the benefits of automation.

As Director of Product Development at iSOFT, Suresh Babu managed 900+ person team in multi locations to deliver revenue potential of A$ 270 million for primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare customers in a number of geographies including Australia, New Zealand, Europe, S.E. Asia, India, Middle East and South Africa; and engineered a series of clinical solutions, enterprise eHealth solutions, departmental care solutions, self care solutions, mobile health solutions, and smart solutions – all based on cutting edge technologies.
In his 25 plus years of experience in healthcare and engineering domains, Suresh Babu led & orchestrated various organization wide initiatives – formation of Indian offshore development centre; consolidation of production units; formulation of product strategies (functional, technical, commercial) for evolution and convergence; conducting technology shows in the international market towards business development; managing innovation groups to produce a number of innovative solutions in Clinical as well as administrative domains; and playing a vital technical role in M & A
